Details of Incident:
The exact date and time is approximate. It was 1970 and I was heading home from Waupaca going
south on County Highway K. I did have a few beers in me and just wanted to get home. I caught a
bright white light to the right of me. The thought entered my mind it was a snowmobile and I
paid no attention to it. All of a sudden my car just dead. Engine, lights, radio all went dead.
I coasted to the side of the road and shut off the key. My first thought was "it's cold and I
just want to get home". Then I thought, oh yeah where's the snowmobile? Thought he could give
me a buzz home, which at that point was just a couple miles. When I turned to look the light
was gone. I turned my head forward and saw the light on the left side way out in the field.
When I was wondering how the heck it got to the left side so fast and without me seeing it, all
of a sudden it was gone. After swearing a few times I decided to try turning the key and my car
started right up with everything working just fine. The next morning my mom told me there had
been a supposed UFO sighting by some dam or something like that. That's when my interest in
UFO's started. I don't know if this would be considered a sighting, but it was pretty freaky
to me.
