2 report sighting UFO

Two city residents reported the sighting of an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) at about 9:30 p.m. yesterday.

Mitchel A. Haas, 18, of 9923 Spring St., and Joann Sawicki, 18, of 10156 Caddy Lane, told sheriff's deputies they saw a cigar-shaped object, hovering about 200 yards above the ground, near the Civil Air Patrol building near Highway 20 and West Road. The brightly colored object had two pillars extending upward to a platform, on which were three blinking lights, they told deputies. The object came from the general southwest area, hovered for about three minutes, then left the area, they said.
