We were driving on a dark country road when I observed a very bright light -- it looked like the landing light of an airplane, however much brighter. I asked my companions if any of them could please tell me what they thought it was. We rounded a curve and all this time the light never moved. My husband stopped the car and turned off the lights and motor. We all got out of the car. The one light suddenly broke into two-horizontally-and raced off over our heads-not making a sound and with such speed we actually couldn't believe what we had seen. My husband was the Captain of the traffic dept. of Calumet County at the time, and one of the people we were with was a State Trooper. None of us knew who we should contact-so we did nothing about it. This is the first time I have ever written about the experience-have spoken about it lots-and I can tell you-it's as clear in my mind today as it was those years ago. Thanks for this web page-I love it and will visit it very often. JR
