I'd like to start by saying that this UFO sighting was the most spectacular one I've ever seen,
and one of the biggest ones I've ever even heard of. I'll post some of the details of what I saw
here, below mine are additional eyewitness reports.
Here's my summary:
We were all located just outside Benson's Hideaway looking
south over Long Lake. The night's sightings started with three orange
craft that appeared over the horizon almost in front of us and traveled
over the treetops to our left. One of the objects flashed three bright
pulses of white light, almost as if it was signaling to us, and all
three of them seemed to be dropping smaller lights at times. The
objects didn't come up over the treetops to appear. They just appeared
in the sky, all in the same place, and eventually "blinked out" at the
end of their route.
After those objects, another object appeared and moved to our
right. This object had three spheres of dim white light. The spheres
appeared to be connected together - two smaller spheres and one larger
one. The smaller objects had small green/blue lights in them and the
large object had a small orange/yellow light in it. The small colored
lights were on the surface of the spheres. These objects appeared at
about 10:05 pm, and stayed together for about 15 minutes. Suddenly,
there was a loud pop like a firecracker and the spheres broke apart.
The large object with the orange/yellow light broke in two and fell
straight toward the ground. One of the smaller objects shot off to the
right in a straight line until it eventually disappeared. The other
smaller object stayed in position, and after the other two disappeared,
it continued to move in a small pattern in the same spot. It was still
there at 2:30 am when the last witness left.
Like I said, we did get very clear video of the whole thing, and many of the
witnesses took photos. As soon as we get all that information together, I'll
be posting it here. If anyone who was there has a personal report of what
they saw that they'd like to share, we would be glad to post that here right away,
so please fill out a Report Form.

Well my wife Jennifer and I spent the day at Dundee, WI at Bill Benson's Hideaway, which is the ufo headquarters in that area.
Ufo daze kicked off at noon and and there were various speakers
from various groups from around the area. We had a good time with all
these people who had similar interests.
But the highlight of ufo daze was the night watching for
ufo's. Let me tell you that WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. We had a very
spectacular show put on by the UFO's.
We had four craft perform for our entertainment and for those
that didn't believe or never had seen a ufo before: NO ONE LEFT
DISAPPOINTED.
The first craft appeared around 10pm cdt. It was a red light
with some white in there somewhere. It traveled south to north, which
it seem to travel very rapidly. At several points along it's route it
would start to flash in a very intense white light. The second and
third craft also did the same thing in the same flight path.
After the first three vanished to the north I don't think that
there was anyone there willing to move from that area. We searched the
sky looking for more.
To our delight a fourth craft emerged from the night sky. It traveled
from east to west at a slow rate. It appeared to be made up of three
lights, Two blue/green balls rotating around a red/orange ball. As we
watched this craft it seemed that the two blue/green lights rotated
around the red/orange light. as we watch this dance of lights in the
sky the craft seemed to separate into three individual lights one
blue/green light staying stationary the red/orange to seem to drop
straight down and the blue/green shot off to the north at high speed.
As we watched the stationary light for over one hour. It bobbed up and
down and moved side to side. The light even seemed to bounce at times.
We left at 11-11:30 pm and that light was still there.
Source: Report from Bonnie Meyer of The Lightside.
It is July 21, 2001, the place was at Benson's
Hide-A-Way in Dundee, Wisconsin. We were all there for UFO Daze which
started about noon with some people telling their stories about UFO
Contacts. About 9:40 at night I went to the water edge and sit down to
watch the sky for any strange activity.
Everyone was talking most watching the southern end of Long
Lake for anything that looked out of the ordinary. All of a sudden a
Light came from the south end of the lake right next to Dundee
Mountain. It was about the size of a quarter held at arms length. It
almost looked like it was lower than Dundee Mountain and just a little
higher than the trees on the ground. The light was a golden color and
had golden lights shooting out from the edges. As it moved along the
Eastern Shore of the lake it made little jumps almost straight up in
the air and then it continued on its original path again. It even made
a few dips toward the treetops. The light continued to the north end of
the lake where we were, at this point someone yelled, there’s another
one.
And there it was, looking just like the first one, all golden color. It
came north along the western edge of the lake and it too, shot up
almost straight in the air a couple of times. This one did something
different though. It blew up to a white light, which was much bigger,
that the golden light. It did this at least four times, that I can
remember. After it did this it dropped two lights from the bottom of
it. I don’t know what this was but it looked like the sparkles that
drop from sparklers the children have at the 4th of July celebrations.
As it was almost directly across from us I looked at the first light
and it had moved northwest and off toward Fond du Lac and was now just
a light in the sky about the size of a pea held at arms length. Then
all of sudden it was not there, it almost looked as if the light went
out, but I believe that it left the atmosphere so fast that it only
looked as if the light went out.
As I turned back to the second golden light my eyes caught the
sight of a third golden light coming from the same area as the first
two. It was coming towards us slowly, moving up and down just a little.
When it got about half way down the lake the second one started to move
off and then they stayed about the same approximate distance apart and
moved off.
We all milled around talking about what we had seen, some of
the people left because they felt the show was over but it was not. All
of a sudden what seemed only a few minutes latter another light
appeared at the southwestern end of Long Lake. It came almost the
length of the lake over the water. This light was either much smaller
or it was much higher in the sky because it was the size of the head of
a cap off from a ballpoint pen. As it got closer to us it turned west
and settled almost stationary west and south of us in the sky. It
stayed there for a long time. It seemed to become three separate lights
one bluish green, one orange red and the other white. They seemed to be
playing tag, running circles around each other and zig zagging with
each other.
Then there was a slight popping sound and two lights dropped
from the underside of the center light. One of the lights took off in a
north west direction and was out of sight within a minute or two. The
greenish blue light stayed in the area and was still there when I left
at about 12:30 A.M. When I talked to people the next day they said the
light was still there at 2:00 A.M.
There were no clouds in the sky, the stars were out and it was
a warm night. Other than the slight popping sound when they broke
apart, all four crafts had no sound to them.

This is my recollection of the events of July 21, 2001.
Location: Benson's Hideaway on the northwestern shoreline of Long Lake near Dundee, Wisconsin.
Time: From dusk until midnight on the evening of July 21, 2001
Witness: A white male 55yearss old.
I am dividing the report into four segments for reasons which will soon be obvious.
While standing in the back yard of Benson's Hideaway
I observed a yellowish ball of light above a large hill known as Dundee
Mt. near the southeastern end of the lake. When the light was about an
inch above the hilltop it pulsed approximately five times. When it
pulsed the size increased from that of pencil eraser to the size of a
half dollar held at arms length.
Question: Was the light drawing attention to itself by pulsing that often?
The light then came toward us but appeared to remain over the
eastern shore. When it reached its closest approach to where the group
of about thirty people and I stood watching, a small "ember-like" light
dropped down followed a few seconds later by a small cluster of about
six more. These small lights quickly became dim and disappeared before
getting to the ground.
The light past by our location and continued toward the
north-northwest going over open fields and woods in the area. As the
light got smaller I turned to face the hill again and talk with those
near me about what it was. Playing the skeptic I said, "It was an
ultralight." They replied, "No way, you didn't hear a motor."
I do not wear a watch but would estimate this took about fifteen minutes.
There was a drunk hollering and making a ruckus about how gullible we all were as he left the area.
Question: Was the young man who heckled us part of a group of hoaxers?
Almost immediately a second yellowish light came over Dundee
Mt. and followed the same general path the first light did over the
eastern shore. This light remained the same intensity as it passed by
to the east of us. Since I do not know how high the light was I can
only estimate about a mile away when it pulsed just once before
returning to its original size and continuing on.
Question: Was the pulse of light a goodbye wave to us or a signal of encouragement to the next light?
Duration of this sighting about fifteen minutes.
At this point I remember having two pair of field glasses in my vehicle which I then get and give one pair to a friend.
I do not recall precisely when it was during the passage of
this light, but someone on the eastern side of the lake started to
shine a very bright spot light up into the sky. They shined the light
about twenty seconds on two occasions.
Looking once again toward Dundee Mt. I noticed another
yellowish colored light, the same size and intensity as the first two,
following in their path over the eastern shore of Long Lake. As it
approached someone to my left said she could see smaller lights in
front of the larger one and they're all the same color. Since the
adjusting ring on my binoculars chose that moment to become hard to
adjust I got only a brief glimpse of what appeared to be three smaller
lights in front of the main light. I then watched it go past without
field glasses.
Duration of sighting was about fifteen minutes.
The spotlight was on I believe two or three times for about ten seconds each.
I was looking toward the hill when someone said, "There's
another one above the lake." and pointed to an area more toward the
center of the lake. Looking with my field glasses I saw a yellowish
light with two small bluish lights dancing around it erratically. All
three lights had what appeared to be a halo or ionized gas above them
that made contact with the upper most one sixth of the light. This halo
or bubble was twice as high as whichever light it was attached to.
Question: What was this halo or bubble above each light?
At times the blue lights appeared to be orbiting it or both
would be side by side below it or stacked one above the other on top of
it or both on the same side or on opposite sides. I could not discern a
pattern to the motion of the blue lights other than to say completely
random, like a balloon in front of a fan.
This light and its two attendant smaller lights stayed to the
south of our viewing position. When it started to become obscured by
the trees on the western shore I backed up so I could continue watching
it. Since the adjusting ring on my field glasses jammed again I was
looking down when I heard the crowd say, "Oh." I looked up and saw the
large yellowish light had split into two large pieces and was dropping
down.
Question: Was the breakup of the larger yellowish light a signal for us to breakup our restrictive thought patterns?
Question: Was the breakup of the larger light a dramatic statement to refute claims of a hoax?
Question: Was the split into two pieces of the larger light a gentle conditioning for skeptics who witnessed it?
At that instant one of the bluish lights shot toward the east,
the direction from which it came. The second bluish light slowly
continued toward the west. Looking at it through the other pair of
field glasses a bouncing motion, up and down, was observed and an ever
so slight sideways sway. In order to see the movement with the naked
eye you had to place tree branches or a power pole next to it.
Duration of the light until it broke into two pieces about ten minutes.
Duration of the single bluish light that moved toward the west half and hour.
Spot light I recall only once very briefly. This could have been due to my not looking in the direction the spotlight was.
Sighting ended when we left to go to our campsite.
The total lack of any military aircraft in the area to investigate whatever was in the sky during the two hours the event took.
Was it seen on radar, civilian or military?
Was it a light source, whatever that is?
Was the whole event a non-threatening close encounter of the second kind?
What part did the thoughts of the witnesses have in how the events unfolded?
Absence of all sound from the objects sighted.
Total lack of any feelings of fear or awe.

It
was approximately 10:00 pm. on Saturday, July 21, 2001. I was standing
about 10 ft. from the shore line on the west side of Long Lake. I was
at Benson's Hide-a-Way just outside of Dundee, WI. I was facing the
south east when suddenly an amber colored ball appeared just above the
tree line in the south west corner of the lake. The ball was about the
size of my thumb nail, round, when held at arms length. The amber ball
flew directly towards the 40 to 50 people gathered there to sky watch,
Before it reached us it curved and traveled from the south to the
north, following the length of the lake above the east side of the
lake. I was looking through binoculars and the ufo flashed a beautiful
goldish white light from the center of the bottom of the craft. It was
at this time I realized the craft was no longer amber. It had tilted to
show it's underneath side and I could see that it was round in shape
and had a row of circular white lights all the way around the outside
edge on the bottom of the craft. The circular center appeared to be a
goldish white light and this is the area that flashed brightly about 3
to 4 times before it flew out of sight. When this craft flashed it's
center light the second time goldish white sparks, much like a 4th of
July sparkler, shot down from underneath the craft for just a few
seconds. I watched the craft until it was out of sight.
I turned once again to the south east and immediately a second
amber ball appeared in the same area. The second craft followed the
same path as the first except it flew slightly more west of the lake as
it reached the northern end of the lake. I noticed this craft also went
from amber to white and was identical in description to the first. this
second craft did not flash it's center light as the first one did. It
was at this point that I realized that the craft was about the
circumference of the length of my outstretched hand at arms length. I
watched this craft until it was no longer visible.
I once again, turned back to the south west just as the third
amber light appeared in the same area. It was identical to the first
two in color, size and shape. this craft appeared amber at first and
then white as it flew over head and headed from the south east to the
north western sky. This third ufo flashed it's bright center light 3 to
4 times as the first ufo did. I could see the underneath of all three
crafts very clearly with the binoculars. I watched until this craft
disappeared from sight.
For a fourth time I turned back to the south west but I had to
wait for about a minute before a fourth amber light appeared. This
light appeared on the south western side of the lake and flew toward
us. Before reaching us it turned west and hovered in one area. Once
again I could see that it had exposed it's underneath side. I saw a
circle of white lights around the out side but the center circle
appeared to be pinkish orange.... some times more pink than orange and
other times more orange than pink. The center bi colored light appeared
to move and change much like undulating colored smoke or mist. There
were greenish blue lights about the size of a pencil head that seemed
to be buzzing around like bees underneath the craft. These were a
luminous greenish blue and they made fast and erratic movements which
seemed to leave color patters that looked fluorescent... some in
intertwined figure eights and other double circular patterns that
pulled away from the bottom of the craft. I was watching intently
through binoculars when suddenly I heard a muffled popping sound. It
was at this time that the larger craft disappeared. I did not see the
craft fall to earth. It wa simply gone. One greenish blue light moved
south and the second moved north while greenish blue sparks shot
downwards. I watched the area where the craft had been and could not
see it. I noticed that the greenish blue that went south stopped and
hovered in the southern sky close to the spot where the ship had been.
I turned and watched the greenish blue light that was traveling north
until it was out of sight. I turned back south and for the next half
hour I watched the greenish blue light in the south bob around and
hover in the sky. At this time I left with my companions for the
campgrounds we were staying at for the week end. It was approximately
12:30 am. The greenish blue light was still in the southern sky when we
left.
I had a fifth sighting that night. After we went back to our
campgrounds we sat around a campfire for awhile. No one could sleep as
we were to excited about our sightings. It was an extremely hot and
humid night without a breeze. Five of us could not sleep when the
others turned in for the night so we took our reclining lawn chairs out
behind the tents to face the open field facing west to sky watch and
visit. We had a panoramic view of the night time star studded sky. We
decided to walk up the hill to the west to the campground restrooms at
about 3:00 am. We were about half way down the hill when we stopped to
sky gaze. Four of us were facing east and one girl was facing west.
Suddenly she pointed and said, " oh, oh, oh." We spun around to see two
white lights that appeared larger than the stars. They looked to be
following each other traveling from south to north. The white lights
were spaced about my hands length apart and moving slowly. It was
difficult to tell if these lights were two separate ships or lights on
the end of a cylinder or oblong object. When they got past us and more
north the lights changed position and were now side by side heading
north and slightly east. They were the same distance apart but at times
they appeared to drift closer together and then apart again. This could
have been a trick the eye played on us but several people among us
mentioned the weaving and drifting motion of the two lights. I could
not make out any shape other than two round white lights. We watched
them until they flew out of sight, walked back to our tents and went to
bed.

Approximately 10:00 p.m. July 21, 2001
This is the most spectacular sighting I have personally witnessed to
date. There were approximately fifty (50) people all gathered together
standing on the northwest shoreline of Long Lake outside of Benson's
Hideaway. Most everyone was looking towards the south shoreline
watchingchng. This crowd of people had attended the day's events called
UFO Daze at Dundee, Wisconsin. UFO Daze is an annual event where like
minded people gather to discuss their favorite topic, UFOs.
The sighting started with three (3) amber colored lights that appeared
one at a time over the tree line in a southeast direction. The first
one just appeared, it first appeared as an amber colored light which
flashed bright white light approximately three (3) times, it then
turned amber in color again. It appeared as an amber light to me
without binoculars however, with binoculars I could make out a dome
shaped top. The amber colored object proceeded in a northerly direction
above the tree line along the eastern shore of Long Lake. Along it's
route it dropped smaller light's from it's bottom. The smaller lights
appeared goldish white in color as a spark from a sparkler for a 4th of
July celebration. At the end of it's route it got smaller and blinked
out.
After the first amber colored light disappeared another one just like
it appeared in the same location. It followed the same route along the
eastern shoreline of Long Lake and it also blinked out at the end of
its route.
After the second amber colored light yet a third one appeared in the
southwest and followed the same route along the eastern shoreline of
Long Lake. It also blinked out at the end of its route.
After these three (3) lights appeared a sphere or orb shaped object
appeared in the southwest above the tree line. This object had one
larger amber sphere and two smaller green/blue sphere shaped objects.
The smaller green/blue spheres danced all around the outer surface of
the larger amber object. These three spheres stayed together for
awhile, until a popping noise was heard. At the time of the popping
noise I was looking into the screen of a video recorder that was
recording the sighting. As I was watching the object in the screen of
the video recorder I heard the crowd scream. I then looked up after
that to see that the three objects had split up. Two amber gold lights
fell towards the ground and one of the green/blue spheres shot off to
north until it eventually disappeared. The other smaller green/blue
sphere remained in position after the other ones disappeared. While it
remained there it seemed to bob up and down and weave side to side
slightly. The last report I heard was that it was still in position at
2:00 a.m. after the last witness left.
I did witness a fifth UFO that same evening with four (4)
other people. We were all so excited from the evening's previous
sightings that none of us could sleep. We set up our camp chairs and
sat and watched out over the western sky into a star lit sky. After
sitting there for quite awhile we all decided to walk up the hill
together to the camp ground rest rooms. After we all visited the rest
rooms we stopped about half way back down the hill. We stood there
together to watch the night sky one more time before retiring for the
evening. Four (4) of us were facing east and one (1) was facing west.
All of a sudden four (4) of us heard ooh, ooh, ooh. Needless to say we
all turned quickly around. At that time I saw two (2) white lights.
They appeared to be following each other and were traveling together
from south to north. As they traveled together they were very
synchronized in their movement. There almost appeared to be a faint
line outlining an oblong shaped craft but it was difficult to tell
whether they were two (2) separate lights or one (1) light on each end
of an oblong shape.
When these two (2) lights got further north they changed
position from being side by side to being more diagonally positioned
from each other. At times they appeared to change position by drifting
closer together. These two (2) lights continued in a northeast
direction until they disappeared out of sight.

The following is the narrative text portion of our report submitted to National UFO Reporting Center.
OBJECT 1: Bright circular amber lighapproximatelytley a quarter
the size of a pencil tip eraser held at arm's length - appeared in
south-southeast and tracked northward across our eastern field of view,
about 45 degrees elevation, then disappeared in north-northeast. There
were no other lights surrounding the object; there were CLEARLY no
standard regulation aircraft beacons, strobes, or wingtip red/green
lights, and the object madediscernibleable sound. If an aircraft, it
was certainly not an ordinary one.
OBJECT 2: Approx 1 minute after disappearance of object 1, same type
amber light appeared in same location and began same northward track.
Approximately thirty seconds after appearing, object flashed very
brightly white -- looking similar to a very bright set of aircraft
landlightsigts -- approximately a half dozen times in rapid succession
-- then continued on same original course. When object was to our
east-northeast, a tiny deep red point of light appeared below the
object and proceeded downward to disappear in the treetops below. Some
comments were that it looked like someone dropping a flare.
OBJECT 3: After object 2 had "dropped its flare" and was tracking off
to the northeast, another amber light of the same type appeared in the
north. It too performed the same flashing of bright white lights. And,
it also "dropped flares" -- three times -- before disappearing in the
southeast.
OBJECT 4: Four to five minutes after the disappearance of object 3, as
the crowd was abuzz with discussion of that we had seen, one more amber
light -- this one somewhat dimmer that the first three -- appeared in
the south-southwest. This one had an additional feature the others had
lacked; two blue-green pinpoint lights which appeared to be circling
the amber light. The entire complex slowly tracked westward toward the
tree line, while seeming to bounce and weave in an unpredictable
manner. The complex eventually disappeared into the trees, then
reappeared on other side of trees several minutes later, still bouncing
and weaving. This persisted for several more minutes until a muffled
"popping" sound was heard, the amber light disappeared, another deep
red point light dropped toward the ground, and one of the blue-green
point lights rapidly accelerated off to the northwest and disappeared.
The remaining blue-green point light remained in the same general
location, bouncing and weaving back and forth within the space of a few
degrees of arc, for another 90 minutes or so, at which time the
reporter departed the scene for the evening.
notes: This was reporter's first ever personal sighting of a UFO.
Report is based on naked eye observation only -- had no binoculars or
camera.

On Saturday, July 21, 2001, a large group of people
met at Bill Benson's U.F.O. Daze. This is held every year on the third
Saturday of July. In the evening, many people sat outside to spot UFOs.
We were looking south at Dundee Mountain, when about 9:30 P.M. we had
our first sighting. A UFO appeared by Dundee Mountain and flew north to
our left in the sky. In a short time two more came from Dundee Mountain
flying north and to our left. As some appeared, they would be a very
large white light, then pulse, change color, shrink to a smaller round
ball and travel north.
Suddenly, a fourth one appeared with many different colored
lights and went north, but to the right of us. As it left Dundee
Mountain, it was visible behind a tree line, where it stopped a few
minutes, then moved slowly a short distance and traveled at a high rate
of speed to the north.

My husband and I were observing the night sky with friends at the Long Lake Recreational Area. At
about 10:35 pm, I spotted a large orange sphere on the south end of the lake heading north-northwest.
The orange sphere had a hazy glow around it. There were also two bright greenish spheres moving
wildy around the orange sphere. Note, I could see this clearly without optical aid. When I used my
husband's binoculars, each bright greenish spheres looked like tiny v- shaped objects when they
appeared in front of the orange sphere. When the bright greenish objects moved wildly on the sides
and top of the orange sphere, they appeared to be spherical. I continued to watch with and without
binoculars. There was a bright flash and the orange sphere split into 2. The bottom half appeared to
have dropped to the ground and the top half disappeared. One green sphere headed to the north at a
fast rate of speed and the other green sphere stayed in the general vicinity of where the orange
sphere had been and seemed to move wildly around that area. I continued to watch the green sphere
until 11:15 pm. The mosquitos were getting too bad for me so I went to the car. My husband stayed
to watch it for a longer period of time.
Source: National UFO Reporting Center
My
wife and I and at least 50 witnesses were out at Long Lake Recreational
Area outside near the north end of Long Lake (located east of Fond du
Lac County). At approximately 10:05 p.m., a series of very unusual
events began occurring and continued late into the early morning hours.
At 10:05 p.m., we were looking south and could plainly see the planet
Mars off the southern horizon. Slightly east of this location, a large
bright amber colored light rose straight up from behind a forest of
trees in the distance. The object went up approximately 25 degrees off
the horizon and moved in a northerly direction at about the speed of a
fast moving airplane. As it was removing, it seemed to drop round orbs
of amber colored lights. It continued and disappeared in the northern
horizon. As it disappeared, a second object reappeared exactly as
before and followed the exact path as the first object. This object
also headed north and seemed to stop before the northern horizon. At
this point, a third object rose again at the same exact starting point
as the other two. It rose up and became extremely bright white and
accelerated in a northerly direction in the same path as the previous
two. Along its path several times, it seemed to flare up bright and dim
and several times it seemed to drop amber balls of light. As it
approached close to the second light, the second light blinked out and
the third light continued northerly and finally blinked out. This
series of events started at 10:05 to 10:20 pm. At this point,
everything seemed to calm down. At this point, we were excited but some
of us felt these 3 events could perhaps be described as airplanes or
pyrotechnic devices, therefore, no one seemed to draw irrational
conclusions. This was only the beginning of several strange events that
were to follow. At approximately 10:35 pm, a 4th amber ball of light
rose from the general location as the previous three. At this time, the
fourth light however headed westerly instead of northerly and seemed to
hover approximately 30 degrees off the southern horizon and was blocked
by trees approximately the first 20 degrees. Now the object after it
headed west seemed to head north directly toward us and became quite
large, approximately the size of a small finger fingernail at arm's
length. At this time, became extremely white bright and then
extradionary the orange's object seemed to have a definite halo or fog
around it. Outside of this halo were two distinct bright greenish-blue
tiny orbs that continued to circle and rotate wildly around the object.
At times, the two greenish-blue orbs would seem to stop directly in
front of the object and at times, they would stop and change direction
wildly. Other times, they would circle around the top or bottom or
around the side of it. This wild movement continued for approximately
35 minutes and was seen by at least 50 witnesses, some had video
cameras and still cameras. After approximately 35 minutes, a major
event occurred. At this time, the large amber object seemed to split
into two. One piece shot directly down towards the ground and was
covered by the trees. The second piece seemed to disappear. At this
time, one of the intense greenish blue orbs "shot" directly up and
northward at an extremely high rate of speed covering the sky from
where it had been to the northern horizon in perhaps 8 seconds. The
other greenish-blue orb continued to stay in the general area above
where the amber orb seemed to have descended or crashed to earth. The
time now was approximately 11:15 pm. The one remaining greenish-blue
orb continued to move wildly up and down, side to side doing circles
and loops but stayed in the general close area. The single orb
continued to move wildly into the early morning hours. Unfortunately, I
left for home approximately 12 midnight and drove home. Several friends
of mine stayed until 1:30 am and the object was still there and doing
its wild dance. I don't know how long this continued because most
people left near or at this time. During all these events, I had a 35mm
camera equipped with a 450 mm lens mounted on a heavy duty tripod and
was using 1600 ISO rated color print film. While looking through the
view finder and centering the object in the microprism, I could clearly
see the object move wildly and I know my camera wasn't moving nor was
I. I shot approximately 30 shots of film during both major events, the
first three and the fourth. Also, I used a 10x50 BAK4 optics glass
binoculars meant for astromonical use and viewed the object. Clearly, I
could see what appeared to be an envelope of haze or fog that
surrounded the amber light. The two greenish-blue lights appeared
clearly and extremely bright and very distinct with no haze whatsoever
surrounding them. The greenish-blue orbs reminded me of what appeared
to be bees flying around the object in a nonrestrictive orbit, changing
directions and paths many times.

Two New UFO Reports From Wisconsin
From Peter B. Davenport
Director National UFO Reporting Center
7-23-1
Jeff,
I have received two more cases, both from Wisconsin, that are
mildly reminiscent of the Carteret, NJ, case a week ago. I have copied
below reports from one of the incidents, and I expect to be able to
talk to the witnesses from the other sometime tomorrow.
At least two of the witnesses from Dundee, WI, are willing to make an
appearance on radio, if you would be interested in doing that sometime
this week. I copy their reports below, plus the report of one of the
other approximately 50 witnesses. The objects they witnessed Saturday
night streaked through 160 degrees of arc across the sky in
approximately 3-5 seconds, they report.
The other case, also from Wisconsin, involves an estimated 9 yellow lights over Clover, WI. I will forward the report.
Peter

172 Shape: Circle
180 Description: Multiple colored objects seen in Dundee, Wisconsin
190 Description:
I was at Benson's Hideaway in Dundee, WI and at around 10:05PM a very
bright, large circular object was seen coming over the hill across the
lake. The object moved across the sky and at several different points
it lit up even brighter. Then it dropped something orange several
times. I saw 3 of these types of objects at approximately 5 minute
intervals. After they got a certain distance they seemed to fade and
disappear. None of these 3 objects made any noise.
At approximately 10:20PM at the same location I saw a smaller orange
object and two blue objects coming from the side of the lake I was on.
The two blue objects were circling around the orange object. They
looked like they were dancing in the sky. They moved across the sky for
a short distance, then seemed to hover and circle around each other.
This happened for Approximately 5-10 minutes. Then one of the blue
lights shot across the sky at an amazing speed, and at the same time
the orange light fell straight down. The one blue light that was left
hovered in it's position by itself for over a half hour. Theat least
atleast 20 other people who saw these objectdefinitelyfinately were not
airplanes, hot air balloons, or kites.

(BEGIN REPORT FROM 3RD WITNESS)
100 Date: 07/21/01
110 Time: 22:05
120 Duration: 2 hours +
130 Sighting Location: Dundee
140 Sighting State: WI
160 Sighting County: Fond du Lac
168 Number of Craft: 4
170 Witnesses: approx 50
172 Shape: Light
180 Description:
Dundee, WI: 4 amber lights, briefly flashing bright white, small dark red lights falling, small blue-green lights
190 Description:
OBJECT 1: Bright circular amber approximatelyximatley a quarter the
size of a pencil tip eraser held at arm's length - appeared in
south-southeast and tracked northward across our eastern field of view,
about 45 degrees elevation, then disappeared in north-northeast. There
were no other lights surrounding the object; there were CLEARLY no
standard regulation aircraft beacons, strobes, or wingtip red/green
lights, and the object discerniblecernable sound. If an aircraft, it
was certainly not an ordinary one.
lightsCT 2: Approx 1 minute after disappearance of object 1,
same type amber light appeared in same location and began same
northward track. Approximately thirty seconds after appearing, object
flashed very brightly white -- looking similar to a very bright set of
aircraft landing lights -- approximately a half dozen times in rapid
succession -- then continued on same original course. When object was
to our east-northeast, a tiny deep red point of light appeared below
the object and proceeded downward to disappear in the treetops below.
Some comments were that it looked like someone dropping a flare.
OBJECT 3: After object 2 had "dropped its flare" and was tracking off
to the northeast, another amber light of the same type appeared in the
north. It too performed the same flashing of bright white lights. And,
it also "dropped flares" -- three times -- before disappearing in the
southeast.
OBJECT 4: Four to five minutes after the disappearance of
object 3, as the crowd was abuzz with discussion of that we had seen,
one more amber light -- this one somewhat dimmer that the first three
-- appeared in the south-southwest. This one had an additional feature
the others had lacked; two blue-green pinpoint lights which appeared to
be circling the amber light. The entire complex slowly tracked westward
toward the tree line, while seeming to bounce and weave in an
unpredictable manner. The complex eventually disappeared into the
trees, then reappeared on other side of trees several minutes later,
still bouncing and weaving. This persisted for several more minutes
until a muffled "popping" sound was heard, the amber light disappeared,
another deep red point light dropped toward the ground, and one of the
blue-green point lights rapidly accelerated off to the northwest and
disappeared. The remaining blue-green point light remained in the same
general location, bouncing and weaving back and forth within the space
of a few degrees of arc, for another 90 minutes or so, at which time
the reporter departed the scene for the evening.
notes: This was reporter's first ever personal sighting of a
UFO. Report is based on naked eye observation only -- had no binoculars
or camera.
