Details of Incident:
My sister and I were returning from Eau Claire and heading south on Hwy 93. We had just gone
through the city of Arcadia and were on the Arcadia ridge, which is a very hil(?) series of
hills. We notice an extremely bright light that was vacillating besides being so incredibly
bright it hurt our eyes. My sister was driving and couldn't look at it for only seconds at a
time. We slowed down to get a better look and it came closer and closer. The car ahead of us
pulled over and stopped but we just slowed down. As it came along side of us, as the road
slightly curved--it was absolutely huge. It seems to be an elongated size (longer in length than
in height) but it was the terrible brightness that we keep remarking about. And in a snap of the
fingers--it was gone. Period. Out of sight! And absolutely NO SOUND whatever! We were afraid to
tell anyone lest they think we'd been out drinking or lost our minds! I am glad I found this
sight. I called the Arcadia newspaper the next day to ask if anyone had reported anything
"unusual" in the sky but they said no. I declined to leave my name and hung up.
