Date: October 5, 2002 12:00AM
Location: West Racine
County: Racine
Source: Wisconsin UFO Sighting Report - Witness requested to remain anonymous
Details of Incident:
Usually Racine gets a lot of air traffic being in between two major air ports (Milwaukee and
Chicago) so any objects that I seem to view gradually pass overhead and they are sometimes close
enough to the ground that you will hear a sound go overhead but this wasn't nearly anything
close resembling that.
Was getting ready for bed which must have been a little after midnight and was laying down and
with my window facing East to SouthEast I noticed a lighted object in the distance, my initial
reaction was "Oh, just another plane", so I closed my eyes and turned my head sideways with my
head down in my pillow but then I thought to myself "Hmmm, it wasn't moving anywhere and was way
too high up to be a stationary helicopter" so I looked back and it was still there stationary
but I focused my vision even more and I saw a white and red light illuminating from it. My eyes
must have been focused on the object for at least 20 to 30min trying to figure out what exactly
could it be so I momentarily went to get another blanket since it was a little cold in my room
and next time I looked out the window it was gone.
