Details of Incident:
I was at my friend's house on Waugoo St. in Oshkosh. His house is about a mile West of the
Winnebago lake shore. Right around 4am I backed out of his drive way and parked facing east on
the left side of the street since it is a one way street. I was waiting for him to come out
because I was giving him a ride to work. I was looking at the houses to the left (north) of me
noticing lights on inside the house directly next to me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw
movement which drew my attention to the sky just east of the roof of the house I was looking
at. I saw a Neon like blueish green light moving east very rapidly. It disappeared behind the
roof of the house and I looked away and thought to myself, "no way" and I rubbed my eyes. When
I looked back the light was gone and I kind of felt relief, but then it reappeared on the right
side of the roof moving steadily toward the East. I watched it and studied it as good as I
could in the 20 or so seconds I saw it. It got to the point that it was directly in front of me
in the sky when it turned south instantly without out a change in speed and then went out of
sight behind the housed on the right(south) side of the street. I wish I could give a
description of size or altitude, but the only thing I can say is there was cloud cover, so it
was definitely lower in the sky than the clouds and was about as big as a tennis ball between 50
and 75 yards away from you. I mean thats how big visually it looked... so at it's altitude I'm
sure it was fairly large. Note there were no flashing lights or anything, just the one Neon
blueish green light.
