Details of Incident:
My wife was looking out our kitchen window that faces south.
She said she was watching "medflight helicopter" hovering outside. I
just got done with work and I did not hear any reports that medflight
was in our area, so I went to look at it. I at first told her it was
just a bright star with strange coloring. Then it started to move closer
to our house and I knew now it was not a star. We both watched as it
moved at the speed of a plane then would stop and hover. Then it would
move left or right, and at one point dropped over 500 feet in less than
a second. The movements were very smooth and crisp. The lights would
increase and decrease in color and intensity. It got close enough to our
house that I thought I would be able to hear it so I went outside to
watch it for a while. It hovered close by but made no noise. The lights
at this point were bright enough to mask the actual shape of the object.
I called a friend of mine over who was working the midnight shift. He !
came over and watched the object with us for a while. He is very
skeptical of UFO's and such but he is also an experimental aircraft
pilot and flight enthusiast. He had no words for what he saw. He drove
out a couple miles southwest to get a better view. He said that it
appeared to stablizie and hover in the sky and maintained a consistent
light until it slowly dirfted off to the south. It was a very clear
night and this was very bright. I will be surprised if nobody else
reports this.
