Date: August 2, 2003 8:00AM
Location: I-94 between Illinois border & Milwaukee
County: Racine or Kenosha*
Source: UFO Wisconsin Report - Witness requested to remain anonymous
Details of Incident:
On Saturday morning, August 2, 2003, about 8:00 a.m., my husband and I were driving North on
I-94 on our way to the Oshkosh EAA Airshow. We were about half way between the Illinois border
and Milwaukee. We had just passed several police cars running their radar. My husband was
driving and he noticed a round silver object in the one o'clock position traveling south. He
said to me, "Is that a balloon?" I looked at it and it did look round at that distance. But,
as it got closer to our car, I saw that it was not round like a balloon, but rather circular
and flat (like a saucer, for lack of a better term). I had the best view since I was on the
passenger side and it proceeded south on that side of the car. I have never seen a UFO before
and, believe me, we both tried to explain it away. Especially, on our way to the Experimental
Aircraft airshow, we thought perhaps it could have been something experimental. But I noticed
that in addition to it being circular and flat, that it also seemed to be spinning (but slowly).
My husband and I are avid airshow attendees and we have never seen anything like that as a
possible "experimental" craft. Can you tell me if anyone else saw this?
*UFO Wisconsin Notes: Witness did not specify an exact county. We did contact this witness
via email. Additional details are included below:
My husband and I were traveling North on I-94 when we spotted the object. We were about
halfway between the Illinois border and Milwaukee. The object appeared to be moving
South/Southeast. It was approximately 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2003. The object
appeared silver/gray, was circular and flat, not round like we first thought. And it appeared
to be spinning/rotating slowly. Thank you for looking into this. I hope I have provided the
information you needed.
