Driving west towards Hwy 41 I noticed what looked like a star (solid white light) in the South sky. After a moment, I realized it
was moving (and quite rapidly at that) to the North/Northwest. First I thought it was an airplane heading toward Outagamie Airport,
but the object appeared to be at a very high altitude (much higher than the airplanes that typically fly over Neenah on the way to
Outagamie Airport) and for that high altitude, its speed was much too fast to be any commercial or jet aircraft of which I'm
aware. So I then figured it was a meteor, but it didn't have a tail, it was a distinct circle of invariable white light, and it
was maintaining its altitude. Since the sun was rising and morning was breaking, I also couldn't believe that it was a satellite,
which I've only seen on clear, moon less nights in the country. I guess it certainly could have been an aircraft, but in my
opinion, the speed and altitude it demonstrated just didn't comport with physics.
