What we saw last night from coming home from shopping was a very bright star like light - the biggest light in the sky...it was very fAR AWAY, SO THAT NO shape was visible, just the bright light.  The strange thing was that it appeared to have tints of red and green and blue lights, and it blinked, sometimes disappearing for a few seconds, and reappearing, and it seemed to not move, making me wonder if it was a planet.  It appeared very bright and stationary for about an hour...then when we noticed it getting smaller and moving closer to the ground we tried to follow it.  It was very far away and must have been moving very fast when it moved. We stopped and parked the car to watch it.  It stopped moving for a while, and then seemed to travel farther and more to the west and closer to the horizon.
