Date of Incident: March 19th, 2009
Time of Incident: approx 7:30 to 8:15 p.m.
Location of Incident: Slinger to Southern Fond du Lac County

Source of Report: UFOWisconsin.com online sightings report form by Edward A.

Details of Incident:

Driving north from Milwaukee on hwy. 41 approx. in vicinity of Slinger area my wife noticed a orange light in the sky due north from our vehicle, turn on,and then off. The light came on as if turned on and off by a dimmer switch as opposed to be instantaneously turned on and off instantly. At seeing this she made a noise of surprise. I did not see the first light being somewhat immersed in driving. With in a short period of time, maybe 5 seconds our so came a very strange light display. To describe this, play along with me. Extend your right arm out in front of you, hold index finger and thumb about 3 to 4 inches and imagine a caterpillar of orange light orbs moving through the sky in a slightly snake like fashion.Move your arm to the left and slightly upward for approx. one foot.at that point the lights collected into a single point and faded out.Vary shortly after that on the same continued flight path the light came on and abruptly went back off.At this point I would like to describe the lights as far as color and intensity. The light color was clearly orange as opposed to the amber yellow of caution light of a stoplight. The lights were also bright and intense like a car headlight our small plane landing light head on. But once again orange! I have been a student pilot. Seen many airshows and just about all military craft. Spy planes, stealth etc. totally familiar what afterburner operation on jet aircraft looks like.Have seen space junk burn up on re-entry. By the way very deceptive and probably accounts for many u.f.o reports. This was different due to snake like flight path of caterpillar light sequence. My wife and I looked at each other and just said,"what was that!".No further lights were seen for approx. maybe ten to fifteen minutes or so ,and then one single light came on directly ahead of us. again. Please remember we are traveling north on hwy. 41.The light came on then off once again as if by a dimmer switch.Up until this point of not seeing the very first light and just seeing the caterpillar segment

I was almost ready to put into space junk re-entry category but given the snake like flight pattern and follow up sighting of individual light and consideration of light prior that wife and daughter had observed that I had missed while driving,I would eliminate space junk. Brightness, speed ,of object would clearly rule out weather balloons. Wrong direction of wind jets, speed etc. Crazy siting apologies to other observers in relative area on march 19 for not filing sooner.I think we something very strange. Just don't know what.
