Thanks To Autumn Laird
Though Thanksgiving is a American Holiday, it is a time for everyone to rejoice and give thanks.
Sharing in the warm spirit of friendship and family. We give grace to those we love and honor,
the blessings of the year and for that which we must remember. It is a tradition that warms the
spirit through the cold Autumn winds as Winter sets in. For these gifts, a prayer is said in
our homes as we light the candles and set food before us and break bread. So speak your words
as dinner is set, love each other and respect the circle of family we treasure more than any
gift. Thanks for all that is good and true, thanks for giving spirits warm loving and here for
you. Gathering of the hearts set before our tables, thanks is given in these fabled words for
the land has provided a feast of celebration for us all to share. Happy Thanksgiving from me to
you in my heart I bare.
Love,
- Autumn
May the road rise up underneath you and lead you straight down the path of destiny.

Editor's Note: Last issue we posted a UFO report from Iowa. Here is another one. Ya think
Iowa might be yet another UFO hot spot?
Name: Chris P.
City: Davenport
State: Iowa
Age: 18
Date: 11-1-02
Time: 8:00
Amount of time observed: about 3 minutes
number of objects: 1
Object appeared from: saw it after was hovering
Object heading to: west
Details: My boyfriend and I were driving down the road, he saw two bright lights just sitting
in the sky. He pointed them out to me, they looked like 2 HUGE headlights just sitting maybe 3
houses high in the sky. Between the two lights a third appeared, then went out, next thing we
knew there were about 8 lights in a bent position all in a row. We pulled over to observe the
lights. I searched for my camera and as soon as I started looking, the object flipped side was
so the bottom was in clear view. Within seconds it took off, still appearing to be on its side.
In a flash it was gone!

From the Northeast, WI Post, March 8, 1976
Editor's Note: Lots of strange reports have been sent to me from Wisconsin throughout the
years. Here is one of them from the mid 70's.
Strange visitors upset Tosa couple
Are people from outer space visiting our planet?
Anne and Peter E. of Wauwatosa think they are. In fact, they believe they had such visitors
last year.
Pete, 64, who was a foreman with a local construction company for over 30 years until his
retirement in 1973, still gets excited when he speaks of the experience.
Anne, 59, says she wouldn't believe it if she hadn't seen it herself.
It was in November, the tenth to be exact. Pete remembered the date as if it were branded on
his memory. The doorbell rang at 7:50 p.m.
Anne, going to answer the bell, peeped through the curtained window on the door as was her
usual practice. Standing just below the stoop, about four feet from the door, was a strangely
dressed person of average height. He was grasping a five foot white staff with his left hand.
Opening the inner door, Anne quickly locked the screen door; even though it was November, Pete
hadn't put on the storm door because it had been a mild fall and the cold Wisconsin winter
hadn't arrived.
"Yes?" Anne asked through the screen door. Hearing no reply, she again said "Yes?"
At this point, she turned to her husband for assistance. "Come here, he doesn't talk," she said.
Pete went to the door. Upon seeing the strange looking person, he remarked, "What the hell is
this, something left over from trick or treat?" With that Pete unlocked the screen door and
opened it in order to get a better look.
The lights from the house clearly lit the visitor.
"The skin on his face was the same as smoked meat and the face was lined with deep grooves,"
Pete said. He went on to describe the stranger's mouth as a small puckered opening, no bigger
than a dime. Other than recalling that the visitor had a very pointed chin, Pete could not
remember any other facial features.
Anne also drew a blank when it came to describing the rest of the visitor's face but she did
remember his hat.
"It was shaped like a man's straw hat except the brim was more narrow," she recalled.
Pete added another item to the description, the person had tufts of hair sticking out from
either side of the hat. He could not remember the color of the hair.
As Pete leaned out to grab what he at first thought was a prankster, the visitor raised his
white staff and rapped it on the sidewalk. The staff made three clicking sounds and the
stranger moved away.
"He didn't step back or jump back, he just drifted away from me," Pete said.
It was then that Pete became aware of four other creatures out on the lawn and in the street.
"They were all dressed alike and they all carried a white staff in their left hands," Pete
said.
"One of them was heavier than the rest. He was out in the middle of the street. He was
rapping his staff on the asphalt and floating two to three feet above the ground each time it
clicked. The staff seemed to be some sort of energy stick. That roly-poly one seemed to be
having the time of his life, bouncing up and down like that. He looked like the astronauts
looked when they jumped on the moon, only he seemed to have more control over his movements
than they did."
Pete described the other three visitors as just moving across the lawn. "Their feet were
making walking motions but they were two or three inches above the ground," he said
excitedly.
All of them, he said, had a deformed look. He described their hands as looking like arthritic
claws and their legs as being bent and bowed.
"They looked like over-sized gnomes," he said.
"As I leaned out, Anne grabbed hold of the suspenders on my overalls and pulled. When she
got me back inside, I must have gone into a state of shock. I know I knew exactly what they
looked like when I was leaning out the door, but once I was inside the house, I couldn't
remember much about their faces or dress," Pete said.
"As I fell into a chair, Anne looked out the front window," he said.
"I could see only three of them," Anne said. "The one that had been at the door was drifting
across the lawn. He turned and raised his hand to me. It wasn't a clenched fist, just kind of
bent, that's how all their hands were naturally."
Both Pete and his wife agreed that they did not feel threatened by the visitors.
As to why they came to his house, Pete could not give a reason. He thought that their way of
communicating was probably different from ours because their mouths were so much smaller.
He wondered if they could eat with such a small opening and concluded that maybe they could
drink liquids through a straw.
As soon as he regained his composure, Pete called the Wauwatosa Police Department. Officer
Daniel Anderson, after receiving a radio message about strange looking people annoying residents
on Beverly Place, surveyed the area around the Menomonee River Parkway. The Parkway is two
blocks from the home.
Pete called the police the next day and the day after that to see if the police had found
anything.
On the third day, Officer Anderson came to the house to say that he had found nothing.
Anne and Pete said they got the impression that Anderson thought that they were a couple of
nuts.
Apparently that must have been the officer's opinion because he did not write up a report
about the incident.
Peter and Anne still believe they were visited by spacemen even though they have to take a lot
of kidding from friends and relatives. "My own son walks hunchbacked and says click-click just
to kid us," Pete said.
Only one neighbor has been receptive to the story. He and his wife saw a strange vehicle in
the sky while driving through the Menomonee River Parkway two years ago. His neighbors never
told anyone about it until now because they were afraid people would make fun of them.
"You know, they were right. No one takes us seriously. They all think we are making it up or
that someone pulled a joke on us. I'll believe it was a joke when someone shows me those
staffs," Pete said.
"Besides, the whole thing took about two minutes. Who would go to so much trouble for just two
minutes? And how could anyone get people to float all over my lawn?"

Editor's Note: Now we come to the Pancake Perspectives first ghost story. Well, actually there
are many theories about shadow beings. Some say they're demonic or even aliens. This particular
author calls it a ghost, but either way it seems this one was up to no good.
In 1988, my mom and I rented The Corner House, a little cottage in Cadgwith. We stayed there
for two weeks. The week prior, we spent sightseeing in London. It was in London where I thought
I would maybe see a ghost...the Tower, Hampton Court...so by the time we took the train to
Cornwall, I wasn't even thinking about ghosts anymore.
It was into our second week at the cottage when there was a very windy, rainy night. I stayed
in a bedroom right at the top of the stairs, with a view from my bed of the entire little
hallway leading to the other bedrooms and the toilet. I couldn't sleep.
The wind was rather ominous. I was thinking of going downstairs for a while when I looked down
the hall and there, at the end of the hall, to the right of the toilet, stood a black figure.
It looked like it had a hooded robe on.
I just stared, frozen in bed. I kept watching, thinking maybe it was my mom or maybe I was
dreaming. All of a sudden, the figure lifted slowly from the floor and extended its arms out on
either side and proceeded to swiftly float right at me!!!
I turned around in the bed and dove under the covers. I could hear a rustling sound right above
my head. It happened so fast and before I knew it... dead silence. I think I waited at least 15
minutes before I felt like sticking my head out of the covers, and I finally did but there was
nothing there.
I ran down the hall to wake my mom up and she said she had been sleeping soundly until I woke
her up. I have no idea what that was, but I did e-mail someone a few years ago who lives in
Cornwall and they asked around and said that a lady named Sara Legge (I think that's how it was
spelled) also saw something while staying there. I wish I knew more about the history of the
cottage. Maybe that would tell me something.
That's my story! First and only ghost I've ever seen! And probably the last!

Editor's Note: Do people actually talk to aliens? Many people say they do, and one of the
methods used is known as "channeling." So, if this is true, what would the aliens say? Would
they be good or would they be evil? I'd say they'd be much like us, with the ability to do
either. I found the following channeled transcript very interesting. Lea and Monn, who are both
mentioned, are both channeled alien contacts. I'll leave you with this piece and the thought
that maybe the question isn't whether or not the aliens are talking to us, but rather, are we
willing to listen? Here's some food for thought, so hope you're somehow still hungry after
Turkey Day. I give many thanks to you for stopping in...
Question posed to Lea: Yes, I have a question that maybe you could share with us, what happens
when two people are talking about a third person who isn't there. Could you explain what
happens to the person that isn't there? And also what happens to the two people that are
talking about the third person?
Lea's answer: (Takes a deep breath after a full-exhale.) Number one, if you are talking in a
negative manner about that person you are inviting a dark cloud to come over them and yourself.
(Pause) (Deep breath) You can actually physically harm the person that you are talking about.
If the person has a, shall we say physical or mental impairment, that can cause that to increase.
In the same token if you talk about that third person with love and compassion and you talk
about you hope that they can heal, you hope that they can become better, you hope that they can
become more stable. You are asking Jesus and God to intervene and help to heal them.
Question: I never heard it said that way but it makes perfect sense.
Lea: And you not only invite the dark cloud over the person your talking about, you invite the
dark cloud to descend upon your personal being. That is why we always suggest that you speak
with love in your heart. I know sometimes people do things and you don't understand. And you
may have to speak that, but if you could turn that speaking of under, not understanding into
speaking of I wish I could understand, I wish I could help them. You are then inviting the light
back into their life and the light back into your own life. I know Monn has said many times to
you that; once a thought is thought, once something is spoken, and I would like to say also
once something is written, it is out there forever. And it can come back to that person, it
can come back to you, whether it be good or negative and affect everyone with that situation.
So, I want you to realize that please, please be kindly to those around you, to those about
your family and especially about those people that you don't like, because they need your light
more than other people do. And maybe sharing your light with them will make them more acceptable
to the Creator and maybe they can step back into the light. And that's what we wish everyone to
do. We wish all of God's creations to be in his light. If you people on Earth could only
remember what it's like to stand (Breath) in Jesus' light. That's the problem when you're born
on a planet, when you come down here, the remembrance of the glory and the wonder of standing
in that presence is veiled from you. And if you can, while you're here, again step into that
light you will be amazed. That if you ask for the words to be given to you, when you need them,
that they will be in your mind, they will be in your heart and they will be on you tongue. And
you will walk in His light and His strength and people will recognize that in you.

Editors Notes: Taken, a new series on the Sci-Fi channel,
might feature Milwaukee's own Heidi Hollis. She actually traveled to New York to film a portion
of the show. Here's her take on it...
Will You Be Taken? I Was…
Coming December 2 on the Sci Fi Channel, Steven Spielberg will be presenting
an ambitious mini-series covering the mystery of alien abductions. Three
generations of one family will be explored in their adventure to understand
what seems to be a strange family tradition no one knew would be passed down.
For anyone that knows how the alien abduction phenomena plays out, Spielberg
is hitting the topic where it counts and matters the most. More often than
not alien contact gets passed down the lines of families, sometimes knowingly
and other times not.
Never before has a series dared to depict the authentic bewilderment of alien
abductions in fiction form or otherwise. But Spielberg takes things even a
step further in rallying other documentaries to precede his series to show
other actual aspects to the alien and UFO phenomena.
Special documentaries such as Abduction Diaries, which was a project I am
proud to say I was involved in, filmed by the award winning and awesome crew
of Naked Eye Productions with producers Tina DeFeliciantonio and Jane Wagner.
I was interviewed by their crew in New York to help shed some light on
real-life encounters with alien beings and their actions.
Naked Eye brought together a true sampling of our society, showing the
diversity of those involved in this phenomena with no barriers visible. Best
of all, the stories told did not only speak of alien abduction, but of other
aspects that don't readily get media attention. Some of the interviewee's
expressed spiritual involvement as well as positive alien encounters instead
of the always hyped-up and "Hollywoodized" features of violent abductions.
Abductions are not always the case, there are some stories that are never
heard and Abduction Diaries did very well in bringing that to the forefront.
Spielberg's Taken is well accented with the words of actual people involved
in this documentary. Although I did not make the final cut as one of the 5
from the 12 interviewed for this project, I was more than happy to watch this
project progress into a much needed voice for so many of us.
A promotional tent-tour did travel the United States to help bring attention
to Taken and the documentary series and I did get to see how my interview
contributed more to the promotional end of things with part of my interview
being played and my photo displayed. Upon arriving at the promotional tent
to see what it all involved was awesome, and many people came up to me- more
than eager to ask for more information on the topic and my experiences.
It was fun to chat with people and give them some first hand information
about what has happened to me concerning aliens and such, but that wasn't the
highlight of the tour for me. The topper was watching the trailer for the
Taken series and watching the magic of Spielberg (my idol as far as
producers/directors go) at work while bits of my interview played over it. I
was more than shocked and then awe struck to think anything I've said would
ever be put on a Spielberg track. But there it was, I got to be part of the
magic, if only for a little. But more importantly, I hope I helped in being
part of the solution in bringing more attention to this real phenomena that
affects one too many people, that all too many like to believe doesn't exist.
